IE Business School graduates are in great demand from some of the world's strongest multinationals, cutting edge start-ups, consulting firms and financial institutions as well as many NGO's and not-for-profit organizations. The Careers Management Center's mission is to expand the professional opportunities for IE Business School students and alumni. The Center offers each student individual career planning sessions, as well as a variety of workshops on career management throughout the program.
The Careers Management Center acts as an active partner as you map your career path, teaching you the skills needed to rise to the challenges you will face in the labor market and to achieve your future career goals that brought you to study at IE Business School. Secondly, the Center facilitates the job search of all students and alumni by providing access to a range of resources, and remains at your disposal for the rest of your professional life.

The Careers Management Center offers companies, executive search firms, and headhunters an efficient recruitment service, tailored to their individual needs. Attracted by the quality and diversity of our students and graduates and by the flexibility of our services, a large number of recruiters look to IE Business School year after year in their search for top professionals. In 2005, more than 5,500 job offers for students and alumni were handled through the Careers Management Center's job board.
Furthermore, to maximize your contact with companies, the Careers Management Center offers an Annual International Job Fair (in 2004 the IE Career Fair was the largest Fair in Spain for MBA students with over 100 companies and over 250 company representatives).
To facilitate your job search, the Careers Management Center has created the IE Job Board, a password-protected web site where companies can advertise vacant positions exclusively to IE students and alumni. Our job board is now one of the most popular and effective in Spain with over 10,000 regular users. It is made accessible to all students 3 months before graduation and remains open to IE alumni throughout their careers (Job Board Statistics*):
*The numbers of interviews or concrete job offers extended through a job posting on the job board include only the processes that were reported by the students, alumni or corporate recruiters to the Careers Management Center. It is probable that the actual figure is higher due to the fact that the Careers Management Center is not always aware of all the interviews or contracts that took place following a job posting.
These statistics refer to the total amount of offers published by the Careers Management Center. These offers can be accessed by all the IE alumni and all the students that are currently in their last 3 months of studies, i.e. they are not exclusive to the International Executive MBA students. In addition to the statistics of the job board it is worth mentioning that over 1,000 students and alumni visited the Careers Management Center in 2005 and received one-to-one counseling sessions on assessment of job offers, CV and cover letter, career choices, job search techniques and other career related areas.
Every year during the first week of October, IE is the venue for the Careers Fair, an event where the leading companies of different sectors looking to take on qualified personnel and where IE's students have an opportunity to make contact. The encounter, covered by the media, is above all a place for making first contact and recruiting candidates with experience in a variety of sectors and functional areas and of wealth of professional potential. With over 100 companies in 2004, the IE Career Fair is now the leading fair for Masters students in Spain.
